The short version: GearSpawn now has a corner built for younger gamers. It's called For the Young Spawn, it's hosted by Young Spawn himself, and it runs on three simple rules — easy on the ears, easy on the eyes, easy on the back. Three products on the shelf today at $29.99 each, three short guides for parents, a free printable coloring page, and no accounts or data collected from kids. Ever.
Why we built it
I'm a gamer. I'm also a dad. A lot of the people who shop at GearSpawn are both — and sooner or later every one of us stands in a doorway watching a kid light up in front of a screen, thinking two things at once: I want them to love this the way I do, and I want to get it right.
The grown-up side of this store assumes you already know your gear. Kids don't work that way, and neither do the parents shopping for them. So we built a corner that starts where families actually start: with the questions parents ask us most, answered plainly, before anybody talks about buying anything.
The three rules of the corner
Easy on the ears
Start with habits, then hardware. No headset spec protects a kid's ears by itself — a fit that seals gently, a volume level set together with a parent, and listening breaks do. Our Easy on the Ears guide walks through what to look for in any headset, any brand. It also says the quiet part out loud: the headset on our shelf does not carry a manufacturer-stated built-in volume limit, and we won't pretend it does. If a hard volume cap is your must-have, the guide hands you the checklist to shop against — even if that takes you somewhere else.
Easy on the eyes
Distance, room light, and the 20-20-20 habit: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. The Easy on the Eyes guide sells nothing. It's just the good stuff every gaming spot needs, written down where parents can find it.
Easy on the back
Feet flat, screen up, shoulders down — and a desk surface big enough for little arms to play in one comfortable zone. The Easy on the Back guide covers the small setup choices that keep a young gamer comfortable long after the new-gear excitement wears off.
What's on the shelf
The shelf starts small on purpose. Every pick has to earn its place, same as the rest of the store — and like everything at GearSpawn, it's backed by 90-day returns with free return shipping.
- Subsonic Brawl Stars Wired Gaming Headset for Nintendo Switch — $29.99. Wired, so there's nothing to charge and nothing to pair. Padded cushions for smaller heads, a removable mic, and inline volume control a parent can set with their child.
- Brawl Stars XXL Desk Pad — Skulls — $29.99.
- Brawl Stars XXL Desk Pad — Let's Brawl — $29.99.
Prices checked October 31, 2026, in our live catalog. The shelf grows only when a verified pick earns a spot on it.

There's also a free printable coloring page in the corner — Young Spawn himself, ready for crayons. No sign-up, no form. Print it, color it, fridge it. It's a gift.
How the corner treats your kid's information
Plainly: it doesn't take any. There are no accounts for kids on that page and no data collected from them — everything there is scripted and local to the page. Young Spawn hosts the corner with his own chat, right there on his page and nowhere else. Ask him about the gear or the guides and he'll answer all day. Ask a grown-up question — a graphics card for a 4K build, say — and he'll tell you straight: that's his dad's department. The Spawn Master handles the big store; the kid handles the corner. That's the line, and it doesn't move.
Questions parents ask
Does my kid need an account?
No. No accounts, no sign-ups, and no data collected from kids on that page.
Does the headset limit volume?
The manufacturer doesn't state a built-in volume limit, and we say so — on the shelf and in the guide. Set the volume together using the inline control and re-check as they grow; the Easy on the Ears guide shows how.
What if it doesn't fit, or they don't love it?
90-day returns with free return shipping, same as everything we sell.
Is shipping free?
Yes — free shipping runs through December 31, 2026.
Come see the corner
If you're buying for a younger gamer — or raising the next one — start at For the Young Spawn. Read the guides first if you want. That's what they're there for.
